Jerry Durant

Jerry E. Durant is Founder and Chairman of the International Institute for Outsource Management (IIOM), a global organisation dedicated to the development and promotion of the outsource supplier community. With over 30 years of IT experience, and over 22 years in outsourcing, Jerry has extensive expertise in global IT deployment, outsource provider assessment, contract negotiation, service delivery management and governance, and retrosourcing.

Jerry has authored the Outsourcing Management Body of Knowledge, and serves as a Board Member for the Global Sourcing Council (NYC). Prior to his work at the IIOM Jerry worked for AT&T as Divisional Director - Software Test Engineering; as a technology advisor to the States of Maine and New Hampshire; and at Dartmouth College on the first BASIC Compiler in 1968.

He holds an MSc in Computer Science from Dartmouth College Graduate School and a range of professional qualifications; he also established the first certification dedicated to the recognition of the special nature of managing outsourced projects, the Certified Outsource/Offshore Project Manager (COOPM).
